Facelifted Ford Focus ST: the first pictures
Yesterday Ford announced the run-out ST500 special edition of the old Focus, today it's shown the new one.We saw the revised Focus at this autumn's Frankfurt Motor Show, but Ford only teased us with humdrum models. Now the Blue Oval has released the first details of the new ST, with a refreshed look to emphasise its sporty position at the top of the Focus tree.So there's a new bumper, much shallower grille and more rectangular, swept-back headlamps at the front, giving a more techincal look. The rear has been refreshed, too, but the changes are less noticeable.
Hyundai Veloster Turbo for the UK gets 186hp
The Hyundai Veloster Turbo – due to be revealed at Geneva next week – will get 186hp and 270NM of torque for the UK & Europe. When the Hyundai Veloster was confirmed for the UK and Europe back in November, we did say that it was likely to come with fewer horses but more torque to make it more fun to drive on European roads than the bigger horses and lower torque figures the American version gets. Now we learn that the UK and European Veloster Turbo will come packing 186hp (183bhp) – down from over 200hp in the US version – but with 270NM (199lb/ft) of torque.
Jaguar EATS Mercedes ‘Magic Body Control’ Chicken
Mercedes-Benz recently produced a fun video to demonstrate their Magic Body Control using a bunch of chickens to show how, despite undulations, bumps and potholes, MBC would keep everything in shape. The video of the ‘Magic Body Control Chickens’ was a rare glimpse at German humour (although the humour may well have been an accident) and a great way to demonstrate MBC. But we wonder if Mercedes sense of humour will stay intact with Jaguar’s latest video?
